The nature allrounder beach in Portocolom
The Arenal Beach
The Arenal beach is located in the zone of “Sa Punta” (or translated as “The Point”). The beach has a small beach budde with super service and really delicious food, whether for a breakfast on the beach at the first rays of sun, or a romantic dinner with tapas, fresh fish and seafood.
Besides the Arenal main beach there is also the Arenal Petit or “little Arenal”. Between the two beaches there is a small path on the cliff next to the water, and in the middle you come across the “Blue Budde”. Here you can also have a great sundowner or meet with friends and family for dinner with top cuisine.
Fun for young and old
The Arenal is one of the beaches where many locals and Mallorcans like to come again and again. For children and teenagers in summer there is the bathing island, with diving board and slide directly into the water. Often you can see young and old playing tag (including diving under the island, but of course only those who can hold their breath for a long time).
Route to the beach
To get to the beach you have to turn left at the traffic circle in the entrance of Portocolom from Felanitx. Then just walk up the street through the old town, and at the end turn right again along the harbor. After that, just drive along the cliffs until you reach a one-way street on the right where you can’t drive, there is already the beach. Now just drive left, park and take one of the footpaths down to the beach! 🙂
